Have you ever wondered how teachers can let students interrupt the lesson daily in their class? I never thought that kids could get away with so much at this age. During my Elementary years I had my fair share of driving the teacher insane during class time, annoying the hell out of other students, and causing a ruckus beyond belief. But as Middle School and High School rounded the corner, I began to get my act together. I realized they're here for a reason, to teach. Yet other kids think school's a big joke. My belief is that kids need to realize what grade there in and how they should behave.
I hate when kids just have to be obnoxious and ruin the discussion that's being held by saying something not related or intelligent at all. They don't care at all about where they're going in life, or what they’re doing to other students learning in the class. They only care about whether or not they can have a little fun. My first period science class this year really has an exact definition of the point that I’m trying to get across. Maybe it’s my teacher's laid back teaching style, or some of the people in the class, but everyday, when he’s trying to teach, he has to say be quiet over and over again and constantly remind the class that they need to shut up and focus. It's usually the same few students that get the scolding too. It feels like we've lost about a total of a few weeks learning time because of this.He's a fantastic teacher and you can tell because the kids that pay attention do well, and yet the kids that disrupt and not pay attention fail miserably and then they cause more disruptions because they yell and complain about how they're failing the class.
My mom has been a teacher for about 25 years now.Year after year as I've gotten older I've noticed the countless stories of a few kids that have been remembered as the most disruptive of her classes. She has at least one or two kids that drive her completely insane. The bad thing is we have to hear about it at home. For example, this year, she has a student named,well we'll just call him Bob. She's always talking about how well the class would be doing if he just behaved, or how there would be less talking, or maybe it would be a little quieter in her class. She's mentioned how if he's absent, her class acts like if they're all angels. I believe every single teacher can relate to this sort of thing. There has to be at least one student that messes up every single class, every single day. I can even relate to this because I see it happen all the time.
I believe that if kids started behaving that maybe we'd get more done on a regular basis in every class, or maybe if teachers caught this mis-behaving a little more often there'd be less fooling around. Science especially, because I can see my teacher getting more and more frustrated everyday, and it just isn't fair to any teacher. Something should be done, maybe detention, or they can get written up. I believe more kids should know how to behave in class, and take into account what grade they're in, and how old they are, cause one of these days their going to fall flat on their face, and realize they should've acted differently.
